We are keeping the 3-lesson format that worked so well last year but we're adding some new things as well. First, due to popular request, before we head outside, we will spend time inside the Gallery working through our sketching activities, which are designed to get your hand and eye warmed up and working together. The lessons are more in-depth this year and are sure to stretch your sketching muscles. This year's event is on Halloween so feel free to dress up. We have a prize planned for best costume in addition to our drawing giveaways.
After the lessons, we'll break for lunch (included), and after that we'll take what we practiced out into the real world and sketch around downtown Lake City. There will be one optional location within driving distance for those who want a change of scenery. When we come back, we'll share what we made and hand out some prizes and wrap up the fun. If you're not quite ready to go home yet, we are planning to meet for an optional dinner (RSVP required - everyone pays their own bill) at a local restaurant at 5:00 pm.
Tickets for Sketchtoberfest are FREE, but space is limited and we may have to limit the indoor lessons due to space. The outdoor sketching has no limit on attendees. You can bring your own supplies, or you can snag a VIP pass (while supplies last) with a kit that has all the supplies you'll need for just $10:
- Unlined notebook
- 0.9 mm mechanical pencil
- pink eraser
- fine liner pen
- D ruler
- watercolor & brush set
- collectible keychain
- Sketchtoberfest 2026 sticker
- 5 extra drawing tickets
Date: Saturday, October 31
Time: 9 am-2 pm
Light breakfast and lunch are included for all attendees. We are still putting the full agenda together, so stay tuned for more details. RSVPs will open soon.
Thanks so much to our sponsor for supporting this year's event!
