SANTA'S GOT A TAN… AND WE'VE GOT A FUNDRAISER!
You know you're celebrating Christmas in Florida when Santa trades his
fur-lined boots for flip-flops, his heavy red suit for short sleeves, and his
sleigh for a beach chair! Who needs a White Christmas when you can have a SUNNY
one?
And speaking of Christmas in Florida, we've got something VERY special at
the Gateway Art Gallery! Come in and see it on purpose!
Introducing the FLORIDA CHRISTMAS QUILT! This gorgeous,
handmade quilt measures a generous 72" x 76", is made of 100% cotton
(yes, it's washable!), and features a wonderfully Florida-style Santa enjoying
the beach. No snow shovel required!
But there's more to this beauty than meets the eye. It's a labor of love
made possible by some very talented folks:
Donated by: Scrappy Girl Quilt
Shop in Lake City
Designed by: Skylar Beichner
Pieced together by: Lodisca Beichner
Quilted by: Ruth Kennedy
What a wonderful gift to our Gallery and to someone lucky enough to take
this beauty home!
HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO WIN THIS $500 HANDMADE TREASURE!
We're holding a special Florida Christmas Quilt Benefit Drawing,
with all proceeds benefiting the Gateway Art Gallery.
Here's how you can participate:
$2 donation = 1 drawing ticket
$10 donation = 6 drawing tickets
$20 donation = 20 drawing tickets
That's right! Twenty tickets for just $20. Now that's a Christmas bargain!
Every contribution helps support the Gateway Art Gallery and the artists,
programs, exhibits, and community activities that keep the arts alive in our
little corner of Florida. Come by the Gallery to see the quilt in person OR
make your donations online through our web site www.gatewayartgallery.org
And just think… you could be snuggled under a beautiful handmade quilt while
Santa is sunning himself on the beach! Drawing during our Open House after
Thanksgiving.
You certainly don't have to be on Santa's nice list to win this one!
Who's ready to bring a little Florida sunshine home? Help support the arts,
